Virtuelle Werkstattwoche 2022
Die Internationalen Werkstattwochen finden alle 2 Jahre im Dorf Lüben statt. Nach der 1. Werkstattwoche 1991 und der 15. Werkstattwoche 2019 hätte die 16. Werkstattwoche 2021 zum Thema »Würde« stattfinden und das dreissigjährige Jubiläum des Projekts markieren sollen. Die COVID-19-Pandemie machte eine Verlegung in den Sommer 2022 notwendig; die teilnehmenden Künstlerinnen und Künstler wurden im August 2021 von der Jury ausgewählt.
Die weiterhin hohen Infektionszahlen, aber auch der Angriffskrieg Russlands auf die Ukraine, erforderten im Frühjahr 2022 eine weitere Verschiebung der 16. Werkstattwoche in das Jahr 2023. Sie wird nun vom 30. Juni bis 10. Juli 2023 stattfinden.
Hier werden diese also bereits 2021 ausgewählten Künstlerinnen und Künstler – zunächst nur virtuell – mit jeweils drei eigenen Arbeiten vorgestellt. Sie werden im Sommer 2023 in Lüben zusammen arbeiten, sich austauschen und diskutieren und sich so gegenseitig inspirieren. Eine Ausschreibung für die 17. Internationale Werkstattwoche 2025 erfolgt im Jahr 2024.
Virtual International Workshop 2022
Every second year since 1991 the village of Lüben has hosted the International Workshops. The 16th International Workshop with the motto »Dignity« was scheduled for summer 2021 and would have marked the 30- year-jubilee. Due to the pandemic situation, the 16th International Workshop had to be moved to the summer of 2022. The participating artists were chosen by the jury in August of 2021.
The continuing high number of COVID-19 infections – even rising again at the time of writing, June 2022 – as well as the Russian attack on Ukraine made it necessary to move the 16 th International Workshop yet again; this time to the end of June, 2023.
The already chosen artists are presented here with three works from their portfolio. In summer of 2023 they will live, work and discuss their positions together and thus inspire each other. The call for application for 17th International Workshop 2025 will take place in 2024.
